The LLR Childhood Leukaemia CellBank aims to collect samples of bone marrow and other
tissue donated by children diagnosed with leukaemia and other related disorders in the UK.
These samples are banked to build up a resource that will be used by researchers to help
understand childhood leukaemia with the aim of developing improved diagnosis treatment.
CellBank also hold a collection of HLA-typed normal cord blood donations.
Samples can only be obtained from CellBank for approved peer-reviewed and fully-costed
research projects. All samples are handled in accordance with the Human Tissue Act.
